Magic string of creativity

The society of new-born graffiti artists is very important to me. Graffiti is a way to free yourself from any rules, a way to show your freedom, a very interesting and creative art form. Usually, the main problem for a pioneer artist, is creativity. Almost every possible thing has been made into something art-like and it’s getting harder and harder to create something original. So, to help new graffiti artists, every now and then, I post creativity blogs. They’re simple advice packages, so artists could find that magic creativity string and use it to create something truly astonishing.
And now to the point. This time, let’s talk about comfort zones and experiences. Comfort zone are the people, the feelings and the things, that make you feel good, the things, that make you feel comfortable.
These days, comfort zone has expanded humongously. People have invented so many useful and completely unnecessary things, that everything has become really easy to use. Everything is comfortable and suits your needs perfectly. The only thing you have to do, if you want to buy anything in the whole, white world, is to get on the World Wide Web and order it. That simple.
That kills creativity.
Creativity is all about new experiences. Art is about your way of seeing things, the way you feel about something. The difference between your way and Johny’s way. That’s art. Creativity is something, that you have to embrace within you in order to create anything under the name of art. But to get creative, there always has to be an impulse. A moment, when something you just saw or felt, transforms into an idea. That impulse is also known as inspiration. Inspiration is the seed of any art crop. You cant get that seed while sitting back at home and doing nothing. That magic string comes from an experience. A good one, a bad one, it doesn’t matter really. Something has to happen, that really bothers you. The stronger the emotion, the faster you’ll get that idea. New experiences are vital.
Obviously, if everything is made for you and everything is comfortable, you can’t experience anything new. You have to step out of your comfort zone. You have to do something completely new, you have to do something for the first time in your life.
There are always ideas in the mind of any graffiti artist or any artist at all.
Creativity (Experiences, Inspiration) transforms ideas into black books, city walls, studios and art galleries. That moment, that impulse, is when the theoretical side meets the physical. It’s when your subliminal sense meets the real world and spits out something. That’s the key of creativity.
This strategy may sound really simple to use, but there are a few things you’ve got keep in mind, so the whole system could work.
First – The idea you get, the first one that comes out from that random experience is not the final piece. It’s a vague sketch. It’s rarely that good, that you might think it is. you have to take that idea and work on it. Take your time and think about it every moment of free time you have. The more you’ll do it, the faster you’ll get that final piece next time. It’s all a matter of practice.
And second – Never forget or leave your ideas unfinished. Once you have them, write them down and start working on them. If you leave it somewhere in the corner of your mind or in some notebook and never work on it, you’ll obviously forget it. Once you’ve got an idea, that your completely fine with, start the work. Cut the stencil right away. There’s no other way of finishing it.

So, that is the key of creativity for me, I would love to hear your thoughts on this post right here or in StencilRev. Hope this helps to create something truly beautiful and thougtful.

Also : The new piece has been finished. The links are up on my twitter, not on flickr. Just some internet brokedown here and I can't upload them right now. I'll post my thoughts on it in my next blog, coming soon.
Double-also : There's a new piece I'm working on. I can spoil it just a little for you. It's about the globalization of the internet. Maybe too much.

And that's it.
You have just read every, single thing I've done for the past few weeks, that is somehow related to my huge ego, also know as Mr. [Bli:p]. Hope you enjoyed.

Sincerely yours,

[Bli:p]
